The Weird

This is a collection of horror and weird short stories by various authors across the 20th and 21st century. The cover with its weird red tentacle and creepy gothic background truly  showcase the strange tales found in the book. The stories are mainly horror stories but they also cover science fiction and fantasy.

Illuminae Files Series by A. Kaufman and J. Kristoff

The first time I saw the cover for Illuminae with its transparent dust jacket and the writing on the hardcover, I knew I had to buy the book. A book that looks that cool cannot be a bad book, and I was right. The series turned out to be one of my new favorite series sci-fi or not.

Four by Veronica Roth

Compared with the rest of the book covers in the Divergent series, Four is my favorite. I love the look of the ferris wheel on fire and unhinged against the dark blue background.

Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer

I love how the designs for each book makes them look cohesive as a whole, unfortunately, not every series gets the same treatment. And can we admire the beauty of that flower on New Moon or the iconic hands holding the apple on Twilight.

Saga by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples

All the designs and artwork for the graphic novels are amazing and spectacular, but the one that always caught my attention was the original cover for the very first volume. Alana, Marko, and Hazel look like such a badass family I most definitely do not want to mess around with. And for some reason I just love that white background.
